"Great breakfast overall! The blueberry hotcakes were delicious and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The biscuits were amazing, though the sausage gravy could've used more flavor. Home fries were a bit underdone and under-seasoned -- a little more crisp and some salt, pepper, and paprika would really elevate them. Service was a bit mixed: our waitress wasn't very attentive and refills were slow, but the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. Even with the wait, I'd still recommend it. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return."

"This is exactly what my wife and I look for. It's a smaller place just off the beaten path with really good food and service! It looks like it was once a bar or tavern so don't drive past it! We had breakfast meals and they were really good. The service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place and will stop again when I am coming through!"

"Good old time locals place. Good breakfast good service. Will eat here again. Had breakfast. * we have being coming back here a few times now. Open face breakfast omelet is great. Liver and onions also very good. . Lots of daily specials on board ."

"This was my 1st time here. I wanted a place to feel and taste like a grandma's type of home-cooked meal. Name says it all. The food was great(can't mess up breakfast), coffee was ok, atmosphere really felt like you're eating at your grandma's kitchen. Service was moderate had a local help out with the coffee but that made it even better feeling. Now the cons or negatives: the owner really needs to do something about the smoke from the grill/deep fryer "Change the damn filters"! Place opens at 7am, I got there 7:20am. The floors were never swept/mopped. It is a dirty place. This isn't something that you rate on, but every person behind the counter kitchen staff server, all had bad teeth. I normally don't say anything about that but everyone.... Not giving it a perfect 5-star because that means excellent and well it isn't. The food is great though"

"Went for the first time today (9/18/25) and had breakfast. I had the Open Face, which was absolutely phenomenal and easily among the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Our server was amazing, and we enjoyed the atmosphere, which felt welcoming and unpretentious. I've been hearing about this place for years, and regret not having checked it out sooner. I will be back soon, that's for sure! THANK YOU."

"Everything about this place is perfect. It's cozy and everyone is friendly. The food is exactly what you would expect from the name. It's delicious and comforting. There is a wait but it is absolutely worth it (everything is made to order). We will definitely be returning."

"Definitely feels like a down-home locals place without the warmth, hospitality, and friendliness of a Huntingdon, WV breakfast spot. It's on the other side of the Monongahela, so it's not in Morgantown proper, but it comes up as one of the better places to find breakfast. Parking is plentiful. Food was quite food. No complaints there. We stopped in while visiting the university and everybody enjoyed their food immensely."
